Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance, yet it is essential to collaborate regularly with our outpatient team in Port Saint Lucie. You will be part of a multidisciplinary group that prioritizes mental healthcare, sharing best practices, and integrating various therapeutic approaches. Regular hours will be established from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, promoting a structured yet supportive work culture.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess patient needs and develop targeted treatment plans that reflect their unique experiences and challenges.

• Engage with patients through individual sessions to explore their mental and emotional struggles, listening with empathy and fostering an environment of trust.

• Diagnose mental or emotional disorders, ensuring accurate assessments lead to effective, evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Educate patients and staff on trauma-informed care practices, as well as stress management and coping mechanisms.

• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, providing ongoing support and encouragement while ensuring optimal outcomes.

• Coordinate care with social services, medical professionals, and community programs to facilitate comprehensive support for patients, addressing all aspects of their recovery.

• Stay current with industry advancements by completing continuing education courses required for maintaining your National Certified Counselor certification.

• Actively contribute to a culture of care that recognizes the unique needs of trauma patients, helping to bridge the gaps in legislative support and evaluate the effectiveness of proposed treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will predominantly involve working with trauma injury patients who face a variety of psychological impacts as a result of their experiences. You will encounter clients from diverse backgrounds, each with their own stories of resilience, requiring an adaptable and empathetic approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is essential.

• A minimum of three years of experience in providing therapy for trauma patients is necessary.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of relevant software applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits\n
