WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

• This role will serve as a key support partner within HR operations, helping ensure payroll is processed accurately while also supporting employee questions, benefits-related inquiries, system reconciliations, and day-to-day HR operational needs.
• The organization has continued to grow, and this person will help create additional capacity, structure, and consistency across payroll and HR operations.
• This role will be highly visible across the employee population, serving as an initial point of contact for questions and helping build trust through responsiveness, accuracy, and strong customer service.
• As the company expands internationally, this person may also gain exposure to broader payroll complexity, including Canada and future international payroll support.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• Payroll processing experience, ideally within a growing or multi-location organization.
• Comfort working with both salaried and hourly payroll populations.
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to investigate discrepancies, ask good questions, and proactively seek answers.
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including comfort with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reconciliation work.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn benefits administration, reporting, payroll systems, and broader HR operations responsibilities.
• Benefits exposure is helpful, but not required.
• Davis-Bacon, union payroll, or international payroll experience would be a plus, but is not required.
• Experience with Canada payroll would be attractive, though not mandatory.
• A candidate who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and becoming a trusted resource within the HR function.
