Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance in a digital setting. You will be utilizing our telehealth platform to conduct sessions, facilitated by technology that optimizes patient engagement and ensures confidentiality. You will work in a collaborative virtual environment that encourages communication and teamwork among your peers and supervisors. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts as necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for new clients to identify their unique needs, goals, and challenges related to substance use disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client circumstances.

• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral strategies that foster engagement and promote meaningful change.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment to encourage peer interactions and shared experiences in recovery.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during critical situations involving substance-related emergencies.

• Offer education and resources to patients and their families about addiction, effective recovery strategies, and local or community resources.

• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, confidential, and compliant with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest best practices in substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, encompassing a wide range of backgrounds and levels of addiction severity. This diverse patient population includes those in early recovery as well as individuals with chronic issues requiring intensive support. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their recovery journeys and develop sustainable coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) issued in the state of New York.

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy specifically within the realm of addiction treatment.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for bonuses and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
