Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake a variety of key responsibilities, including:

• Maintaining a manageable caseload while establishing positive, therapeutic relationships with clients, ensuring professional ethics and boundaries are always upheld.

• Conducting regular meetings with clients to review their progress, stability, and treatment plans, and identifying appropriate pathways for discharge when necessary.

• Developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs and goals.
\n
• Keeping comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment modifications.
\n
• Performing thorough intake assessments to understand clients' needs and concerns upon their initial visits.
\n
• Scheduling and conducting individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to youth.

• Participating in regular individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and receive guidance in managing complex cases.

• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is centered on providing services to youth in need of mental health support. You will work closely with adolescents facing a variety of challenges, including emotional upheaval, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your efforts will contribute to fostering resilience, improving coping mechanisms, and promoting overall mental well-being among our young clientele.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in a mental health field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.

• Proven ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements relevant to clinical practice.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or those with substance abuse issues.

• Demonstrated proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of both individual and group psychotherapy.

• Strong computer skills, with a basic understanding of electronic health records systems and keyboarding.

Preferred Experience\n
