Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Fredericksburg, VA. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed for various treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and patient education. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop personalized treatment programs tailored to meet individual patient goals and align with the physician's plan of care.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions using a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise programs.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills by engaging with patients and ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, injury prevention, and the rehabilitation process.
• Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment protocols to enhance outcomes and meet utilization goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to integrate patient care and facilitate comprehensive recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (APTA or CAPTE-approved required).

• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications for documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience working as a licensed physical therapist in an outpatient setting.
• Experience with various patient populations, specifically in orthopedic, sports medicine, and neurologic conditions.
• Familiarity with evidence-based methodologies and patient care practices to enhance overall effectiveness and outcomes.
