In this remote role, you will provide comprehensive mental health evaluations, develop tailored treatment plans, and execute both individual and group therapy sessions. This position operates in a fully remote outpatient setting, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining a strong focus on client care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial consultations and maintain clear, accurate documentation of each client’s case from their first visit through the conclusion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluate and assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges to inform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that encompass the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on evidence-based practices to foster healing and development.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly to ensure treatment plans are effective and make necessary adjustments based on comprehensive assessments.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create an integrated approach to treatment.
\n
• Evaluate risk factors and strategies to minimize barriers to recovery, guiding clients and their families through mental health challenges.
\n
• Provide support to family members and caregivers to help them understand mental health conditions and improve their management skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your role is pivotal in fostering connection and therapeutic rapport that empowers clients to achieve their personal goals and enhances their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong clinical skills with a background in various therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR or similar software.
\n
• Experience addressing complex mental health issues, including co-occurring disorders and substance abuse.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Competence in understanding and managing the psychological effects of prescribed medications.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine ability to empathize with clients’ experiences.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, along with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
