Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Technician to support a GMP laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various microbiological tests and supporting the lab operations. This role involves working in a GMP cleanroom facility, where the candidate will assist with environmental monitoring, bioburden testing, sample preparation, and non-routine testing. Adherence to GMP, GDP, and SOPs is required, and experience with aseptic techniques is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological testing to support laboratory operations.

• Assist with environmental monitoring, including water, air, and particulate matter sampling.

• Perform bioburden testing and sample preparation.

• Participate in non-routine testing as required.

• Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, and SOPs.

• Utilize aseptic techniques in all relevant procedures.

Essential Skills

• Experience in microbiology (1-3 years).

• Proficiency in environmental monitoring (1+ years).

• Experience with bioburden testing (1+ years).

• Familiarity with GMP and GDP (1+ years).

• Proficiency in aseptic techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry OR related.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Work Environment

The role is based in a GMP cleanroom facility, requiring strict adherence to cleanliness and safety protocols. The work involves regular use of laboratory equipment for microbiological testing. The position demands precise attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures and documentation practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
