Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Long Valley Mental and Wellness Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating regular therapy sessions where you guide clients through coping strategies, problem-solving techniques, and skill-building activities.

• Supporting clients in developing life skills—such as daily living, community engagement, and leisure activities—to enhance their quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is serving adults aged 18 and older who may be experiencing various mental health challenges. Many clients may struggle with aspects of maintaining stability in their personal lives due to conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. Through focused treatment, you will assist these individuals in navigating their challenges and progressing toward improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, you must hold a Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Additionally, you should possess the following:

• A current and valid license from the state board, such as:
  Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  Licensed Psychologist (PsyD)

• The capability to practice independently without supervision, ensuring you can take lead in client treatment pathways.

• A clear disciplinary record with no actions against your license.
\n
• Experience in providing direct clinical services in a supportive and empathetic manner.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital record-keeping systems.

• A reliable home office setup with a good Wi-Fi connection to facilitate remote sessions and client communications.

Preferred Experience\n
