- Floating: Yes to other units as needed
- Call: Weeknights and weekends; 2 weekend call shifts per month when contract requires 4 shifts total (2 weekend + 2 weeknights)
- EPIC charting experience required/preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery care for post-anesthesia patients, including airway assessment, vital signs monitoring, and pain management
- Monitor patient status and intervene for adverse events; manage IV access and phlebotomy as needed
- Administer medications per orders; coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams; document care in Epic
- Support discharge planning, patient and family education, and safe transfer to the next care setting
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, uphold infection control standards, and adapt care for adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Collaborate with unit support teams (IV, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transport, Unit Secretary) and respond to Rapid Response as needed

Requirements
- NY RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
- EPIC charting experience
- Phlebotomy competency and IV insertion/maintenance
- First-time travelers accepted
- Ability to work in a PACU setting and float to other units as required
- PACU/Phase I & II recovery experience in general surgery, orthopedics (including spine and total joints), Endo/laparoscopic preferred
