By partnering with leaders in school systems and with content providers specializing in topics related to the Jewish people, CJIL helps bring engaging, accurate, and culturally competent instruction about the Jewish people to public and independent schools and fosters learning environments that are inclusive of Jewish students, families, and staff. Position Overview The Jewish Education Project seeks a full-time Manager, Westchester K-12 Education to join the Center for Jewish-Inclusive Learning (CJIL) team. Reporting to the Director of K-12 Program Implementation, the Westchester K-12 Education Manager will develop and execute a plan to broaden and deepen delivery of professional development, resources and direct-to student experiences from partner content providers across all Westchester public school districts, school buildings and associations. The K-12 Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for Westchester County K-12 public school educational leaders and will collaborate with colleagues across The Jewish Education Project to ensure alignment, communication, and shared success. The Westchester K-12 Manager will contribute to strategic planning and development based on lessons learned from CJIL’s previous work and related to outreach, evaluation, and scaling efforts across Westchester school system. This position is ideal for a community organizer with proven experience impacting system change. Candidates should be passionate about instructional excellence and inclusive school culture. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of how school systems operate, strong relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset oriented towards creative problem-solving and results. The position is based two days in White Plains, NY at the offices of the Westchester Jewish Council with one day per week (and additional days as needed) required in-person at the Midtown West offices of The Jewish Education Project. Key Responsibilities Partnership Development and Relationship Management Serve as the primary liaison between CJIL and Westchester County public school districts, school leaders, professional associations, and educational partners. Build and maintain strong relationships that foster collaboration, trust, and long-term engagement with CJIL's work. Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with the Westchester Jewish Council (WJC), UJA-Federation of New York, and other community stakeholders. Identify opportunities for schools and districts to engage in professional learning, curriculum implementation, pilot programs, and student experiences offered through CJIL and its partner organizations. Facilitate focus groups, advisory sessions, and other stakeholder engagement opportunities to assess needs, gather feedback, and inform program strategy. Represent CJIL at meetings, conferences, and events throughout Westchester County. Coalition Building and Community Engagement Build, convene, and facilitate a WJC-affiliated coalition of education and advocacy organizations committed to supporting Westchester public schools. Strengthen communication, collaboration, and alignment among coalition members, school districts, and community partners. Advance shared goals that promote inclusive school environments and high-quality educational experiences. Program Implementation and Delivery Develop and execute strategies to expand the reach and impact of CJIL's professional development, educational resources, and student programs across Westchester County. Facilitate and coordinate professional development programs, conferences, workshops, and other educational initiatives. Broker and support partnerships between educational content providers and school system leaders to ensure successful program implementation. Manage project timelines, stakeholder communications, deliverables, and documentation to ensure high-quality execution. Collaborate with colleagues across CJIL and The Jewish Education Project to align program delivery, communications, and evaluation efforts. Team Engagement and Continuous Improvement Contribute to strategic planning, evaluation, and scaling efforts informed by lessons learned and stakeholder feedback. Participate actively in team meetings, training, and organizational initiatives. Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture. Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder who combines a strong understanding of K–12 public education with strategic thinking, project management skills, and a commitment to inclusive school communities. They are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. 5–7 years of professional experience in K–12 public education or a related educational organization. Experience working within school systems (e.g., principal, district administrator, central office leader) and/or leading partnerships that deliver educational programs or services to schools. Demonstrated success building partnerships and leading collaborative initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. Understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing suburban public-school districts. Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Experience using project management, CRM, and communication tools; familiarity with ClickUp, Salesforce, or similar platforms is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, Jewish identity, Jewish history, Israel, antisemitism, and their relevance to K–12 education.
