(Senior) Director of Business Development – Drug Discovery | CRO/CDMO A leading global drug discovery partner supporting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Business Development focused on the drug discovery field. This role will be responsible for identifying areas of growth across the Eastern US while aligning scientific offerings with current trends in drug discovery. What's on Offer Long-term cooperation based on stable employment conditions Competitive base salary & bonus opportunities An inspiring workplace with an international setting, strong team spirit, and an excellent work climate Training program enabling scientific and sales development (Peer to Peer Academy, scientific lectures, participation in conferences) Career development perspectives connected with company growth Your Responsibilities Work closely with the Business Development team to execute the commercial strategies, goals, actions, and budgets for the assigned region Proactively prospect for new accounts within the assigned region by planning and organizing daily work schedules Generate new business leads through prospecting and responding to incoming leads Call on prospective accounts, provide technical information, coordinate presentations, and support proposal generation Be cognizant of the customer experience from the initial touchpoint to closing the deal, actively shepherding the internal process to ensure a positive customer experience Utilize strong interpersonal skills when negotiating contracts to build long-term relationships with external partners and customers Prepare client-specific presentations and other data to respond to client needs Work with internal teams to translate client needs and expectations into reality Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing and current/new offerings Assist Business Development leadership in identifying market potential, including client requirements and competitor analysis Promote complex services to sophisticated clients in pharmaceutical and biotechnology R&D Represent the organization at industry events and conferences Your Profile BS in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceuticals, or another Life Sciences discipline (advanced degree preferred) 5+ years' experience in Business Development/Sales at a CRO/CDMO or related field Experience selling across all drug discovery markets from Discovery to Development Proven experience developing and managing internal and external clients Strong ability to build relationships with key business partners and stakeholders Experience working with pharmaceutical companies and biotech startups throughout the drug discovery and development cycle Excellent business development and sales strategy planning and execution skills Highly developed commercial awareness with the ability to recognize growth opportunities Excellent communication, marketing, and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team #J-18808-Ljbffr ARTO
