The work environment at Positive Pathways is characterized by a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where every team member is valued. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will primarily work from a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that you can provide top-quality care. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some occasional evening shifts if needed based on patient care requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs of each child and adolescent client, employing evidence-based practices to gather insights.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages of children and their family dynamics, ensuring tailored support for each unique situation.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy sessions focused on issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers to foster supportive environments conducive to healing and growth.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support during mental health emergencies affecting returning patients.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and community resources, empowering them with knowledge and tools.

• Maintain precise and confidential client documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards set forth by professional governing bodies.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, facing various mental health challenges. You will address disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues, integrating clinical insights with a compassionate approach to support them and their families on their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders alongside evidence-based therapeutic methods.
\n
• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy, preferably with a focus on younger populations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, accompanied by a nurturing and child-centered methodology.
\n
• A strong ability to establish rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families to create a safe therapeutic space.

• Competency with electronic health record systems and other technology relevant to telehealth and documentation management.
\n
• A collaborative spirit that thrives in a multidisciplinary team setting is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience working specifically with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Positive Pathways Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range from $80,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, we provide a sign-on bonus, comprehensive healthcare benefits, a retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
