Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist executes the day-to-day activities associated with billing, cash receipts, and various other accounting related tasks. This position is in office Monday-Friday.

Essential Functions:

• Processes and applies incoming payments from clients to the appropriate account; maintains clients' accounts with the company.
• Accepts and processes credit card payments.
• Enters billing for multiple clients.
• Works in tandem with the billing coordinators on reporting and resolving open receivable balances from billed invoices.
• Interfaces with clients to correct and/or clarify invoices and payments as needed; fields calls concerning billing disputes.
• Assists other finance staff with various functions as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Billing required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
• Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
• Proficient with Excel & Word
• Experience with multi-company billing and Timberline helpful but not required.
