Step into a rewarding contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting middle school students in grades 6–8 and making a direct impact in their academic and personal development. This full-time role (35 hours/week) serves one school with a caseload of approximately 60–65 students, providing focused, consistent care throughout the school year.

The position is on-site and ideal for professionals with strong school-based SLP experience and current ASHA certification (CCC). A Florida state SLP license and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or a related field are required. You’ll be working collaboratively with students, educators, and families, developing individualized therapy plans, monitoring progress, and supporting communication goals in an educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Active FL State Speech-Language Pathologist license
• CCC certification from ASHA
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Previous school-based experience (grades 6–8 preferred)
• Skill in case management for a moderate group size (60–65 students)
• Ability to clear district background check and fingerprinting expeditiously

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned students
• Create and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents on student progress
• Document sessions, evaluations, and required reports
• Comply with district and state regulations for service provision
