Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role offers the flexibility of working from home while being integrated into a supportive online therapeutic community. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the varied schedules of our clients. You will work collaboratively with other professionals, using secure telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems, ensuring seamless communication and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to determine clients' unique experiences, concerns, and goals.

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, utilizing methodologies that resonate with clients’ cultural and personal contexts.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on enhancing mental health resilience and overall well-being.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention when necessary, effectively managing mental health emergencies with calmness and professionalism.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and local community resources to foster empowerment.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in line with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency trainings to enhance service delivery.

• Stay updated on relevant research, best practices, and cultural considerations within mental health therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, coupled with a robust understanding of cultural competence in practice.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive approaches.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with poise.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, facilitating rapport-building and trust with a wide range of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated software.
\n
• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining client confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a multicultural mental health setting, especially working with diverse communities.

• Knowledge of community resources and referral systems specific to the New Jersey area.

Compensation and Benefits\n
