Although you will primarily work from home, team meetings and case consultations will foster community and collaboration among staff.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs, symptoms, and goals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Deliver high-quality therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families, adapting techniques to suit diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster community connections and address common mental health issues.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate holistic care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during critical mental health episodes, ensuring patients receive the care they need during emergencies.

• Educate patients about mental health disorders, treatment options, and useful community resources to empower their recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your therapeutic practices will serve a varied patient demographic in Norfolk and surrounding areas, encompassing individuals facing heatlh disparities and stigmatized mental health challenges. You will cater to adults, adolescents, and families, tailoring treatment plans to respect cultural, social, and economic dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Holds a current, valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based practices.

• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive assessments and create effective treatment strategies.

• Experience working with individual and group therapy formats, with a focus on integrated care.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
