Business Development Manager

DSV is a global transport and logistics company dedicated to providing comprehensive supply chain solutions. Location USA - Plainfield, 2363 East Perry Road Division Air & Sea Job Title Business Development Manager Employment Type Full Time Summary The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling DSV's transportation and logistics services to prospective clients, collaborating with sales and other departments to meet customer requirements and achieve revenue targets. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identify and target potential customers, including cold‑calling and prospecting. Establish and maintain relationships with clients through regular follow‑up and meetings. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure customer requirements are met. Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers. Manage the sales pipeline and update the CRM system with accurate, up‑to‑date information. Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and provide feedback to the management team. Educational Background / Work Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in transportation and logistics. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce. Preferred Qualifications Proven sales success in transportation and logistics. Familiarity with international trade and regulations. Experience in freight forwarding or customs brokerage. Language Skills Fluent in English (oral and written). Computer Literacy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. At Will Employment DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees. Termination may occur for any reason, or no reason, provided the discharge does not violate any law. Employees may also terminate at any time. (Except in Montana, termination requires just cause.) Compensation Base salary: $60,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
