Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, and dietitians, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique situation.

• Providing high-quality counseling sessions via video conferencing or in-person as necessary, focusing on individuals, couples, families, and support groups.

• Documenting all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary client base will be cancer patients at various stages of their journey—those newly diagnosed, navigating treatment, dealing with recurrence, managing end-of-life concerns, and supporting survivors. You will also engage with caregivers, providing them with essential tools and coping strategies to manage the emotional toll of caregiving.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

• Current and valid state license as a mental health provider (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting.

• Exceptional communication skills, characterized by clear and concise information sharing, active listening, and respectful engagement with clients and colleagues.

• No history of medical malpractice claims verified by a third party.
\n
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience providing mental health services in oncology or familiarity with chronic illness management will be highly regarded.
