Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather essential information regarding their mental, emotional, and behavioral health, and document findings comprehensively.

• Evaluate each client’s unique needs and circumstances to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that address their specific challenges.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering personal growth and coping skills among clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress against established treatment goals, providing timely adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, especially those requiring hospitalization.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to prevent behaviors that may impede client progress.
\n
• Support clients' family members and primary caregivers with guidance and resources to manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a vital member of our counseling team, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and general mental health issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds and age groups, allowing you to leverage your expertise in diverse therapeutic modalities to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective relationship-building with clients and collaboration with team members.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach to client care.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a community health setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.

• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological interventions and their effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
