Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments with new clients to diagnose mental health needs and develop treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.

• Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, applying therapeutic techniques grounded in the best practices of mental health care.

• Maintain detailed and organized progress notes, summaries, and documentation to track client progress and inform future treatment decisions.

• Coordinate specialized services within the Behavioral Health Department, directing program implementation and managing initiatives aimed at community mental health outreach.

• Actively contribute to the development of community resources that promote preventive mental health services and education.
\n
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and effective crisis intervention when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, which may include individuals facing addiction issues, trauma, PTSD, homelessness, and a range of co-occurring disorders. Your experience and understanding of these challenges will be crucial in delivering effective interventions and fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and up-to-date licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in mental health services, particularly in crisis management and therapeutic settings.

• Strong knowledge of addiction issues in relation to psychotherapy, and the ability to empathetically understand their impacts on clients’ lives.

• Demonstrated respect for colleagues, clients, and the therapeutic process, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
