Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Valley Urgent Care, your responsibilities will include:

• Responding promptly to patient consults and admissions, performing provider rounds, and maintaining clear clinical documentation such as notes and care orders.
• Entering accurate admission, pre-operative, and post-operative orders in a timely manner to facilitate seamless patient care reviews.
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures, including pre-operative assessments and coordinating necessary follow-ups.
• Maintaining open lines of communication with patients and their families to discuss care plans, answer questions, and provide reassurance.
• Working flexible assigned shifts and being available for on-call duties to ensure continuous patient care.
• Upholding strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and billing compliance to protect patient privacy and ensure financial integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on elderly patients residing in an Assisted Living Facility, where you will cater to their unique healthcare needs. This population may suffer from various acute and chronic conditions, requiring a nuanced understanding of their health challenges. You will advocate for individualized care plans that mirror each patient’s medical history, preferences, and personal goals, thus improving their overall well-being.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a valid Nurse Practitioner credential.
• A current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
