Work Environment

The position is fully onsite at our Babylon facility, where you will engage with our patients in a warm and welcoming setting. You will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, with convenient operating hours concluding at 5:00 PM. Team collaboration is key; you will work alongside five physicians and five nurse practitioners, actively participating in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions, promoting a supportive atmosphere rooted in shared patient care goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
• Order, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiology studies.
• Diagnose medical conditions and illnesses, proposing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records and manage patient schedules efficiently.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
• Proactively oversee patients’ overall health, identifying potential health risks and advocating healthy lifestyle practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by advancing your professional knowledge and participating in clinical research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily engages with a diverse population, comprising families, individuals with chronic illnesses, and those seeking preventive care. Your role will encompass managing both acute and chronic health conditions, enabling you to build lasting relationships with patients as you guide them through their health journeys.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license is required.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on nurse practitioner training is essential.
• ANP or FNP certification is mandatory.
• A DEA number for prescribing medications is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, dedicated to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, or community health clinic setting.
• Specialization in areas such as cardiology, internal medicine, or urgent care is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
