Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 4:1 patient ratio. Float coverage required within the organization. Weekend shifts included.

• Mixed Med-Surg and PCU environment with telemetry monitoring and critical care skill utilization
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• First-time travelers welcome; candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered following manager review
• Strong clinical skill development opportunities including vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, arterial lines, central line management, and ventilator support
• 12-month assignment with adolescent and adult patient populations

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, and isolation precautions
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
