Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Oncology

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights); assignments reviewed every 4 weeks.

Assignment Details: Daily census of approximately 22 patients; 24 beds.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of current acute care nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV therapy.
• Ability to provide care for patients receiving blood products and IV antibiotics.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patient conditions in a stepdown unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
• Implement infection prevention and falls prevention protocols.
• Provide support and education to patients and families.

Compliance / Notes: Parking permit options available. Orientation consists of 72 hours. Strict compliance deadlines apply for submissions and background checks.
