Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations to ascertain clients' needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies that address the mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges faced by individuals and families.

• Facilitate engaging and effective therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, encouraging open dialogue and active participation.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient interactions, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR to ensure optimal client management.

• Work directly with family members and caregivers, providing support and resources to help them navigate mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve encompass a broad spectrum of ages, backgrounds, and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. You will work to create a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel valued, understood, and are encouraged to share their experiences openly.

Qualifications\n

• A relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of national examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated professional experience as a mental health counselor with a strong emphasis on client-centered therapeutic practices.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for effective documentation and case management.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to support client recovery.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

• A compassionate nature and a strong commitment to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with a diverse client base, particularly in telehealth or virtual therapy settings.

• Familiarity with best practices guidelines from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their implications on mental health, as well as experience dealing with co-occurring disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
