Senior Director, Global Clinical Physician - Oncology

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Director, Global Clinical Physician to provide medical oversight and accountability for oncology clinical trials from early phase through registration. The role involves designing clinical development strategies, managing study teams, and collaborating across research and development functions to advance oncology programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary medical authority and oversee multiple oncology clinical trials or single complex trials
• Develop, monitor, analyze, and interpret clinical trials; supervise clinical components of regulatory submissions
• Design and construct clinical development plans and protocols aligned with regulatory and disease strategy targets
• Lead medical data review, safety assessment, and site interactions for assigned studies
• Provide strategic clinical insights to cross-functional teams in research, early development, and late development

Requirements

• Extensive experience in late and/or early drug development across multiple study phases
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical protocol design and clinical development strategy
• Recognized disease expertise in oncology within and outside the organization
• Strong relationships with principal investigators and thought leaders in oncology
• Experience leading high-performing study teams and cross-functional matrix environments
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, competitive landscape, and benefit-risk assessments
• Current GCP training and compliance with clinical conduct obligations
