Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW, your daily responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to identify counseling needs and developing targeted treatment plans.
\n
• Utilizing the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to evaluate clients for substance use diagnoses and determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.

• Creating and documenting comprehensive substance abuse counseling portions of client treatment plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet individual needs.
\n
• Developing discharge and continuum of care plans that guide clients through the transitional phases post-treatment.
\n
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including all counseling sessions, assessments, referrals, and follow-up work in alignment with regulatory standards.
\n
• Managing a caseload to ensure timely treatment planning duties and utilization review updates are completed.
\n
• Coordinating with support services for clients and their families, ensuring comprehensive care is documented and communicated.
\n
• Collaborating with various referral sources such as legal, educational, and occupational contexts to facilitate holistic support for your clients.

• Implementing crisis interventions and working with a multidisciplinary team to address urgent client needs effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals grappling with addiction issues and associated mental health problems. You will work closely with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges. Your specialized skills in co-occurring counseling will be vital in helping these clients navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid LCSW license to practice in the state of Florida.
