Bookkeeper

Kforce has a client in Manassas, VA that is seeking a Bookkeeper. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Maintain and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Handle invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
- Prepare documentation and support external accountants for tax filings and audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Identify process improvements and implement efficient accounting procedures
- Full Charge Bookkeeping experience - reconciliation, accruals, month end close - can't just be transactional
- SAGE 300 experience (flexible but want to prioritize this) or Construction experience
- Payroll experience
- Excel experience - basic functions and spreadsheets
