We're seeking an experienced Sous Chef to partner with our Chef de Cuisine at Kira, where Mediterranean culinary traditions meet innovative Japanese techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment where creativity and precision come together to create memorable dining experiences.

About Kira: Kira is a unique dining concept in New Orleans that celebrates the intersection of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines. Our restaurant is built on a foundation of culinary excellence, cultural appreciation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food and hospitality to our guests.

Your Role: As Sous Chef, you'll play a vital leadership role in our kitchen, supporting the Chef de Cuisine in executing our distinctive menu and maintaining our high standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in menu development and refinement of our Mediterranean-Japanese fusion dishes
Leading kitchen operations during service, ensuring quality and consistency across all plates
Training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain team cohesion and skill development
Managing food preparation, plating, and presentation standards
Maintaining kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols
Collaborating with the Chef de Cuisine on sourcing ingredients and seasonal menu planning
Problem-solving during service to ensure smooth operations
