What you'll bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential for California
• Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate and/or moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and compliance
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction, behavior management strategies, and curriculum adaptations
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and specialists
• Ability to create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that supports each student’s unique needs
• Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic school setting
• Passion for fostering growth, independence, and confidence in every learner

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Assess students’ strengths and areas for growth, setting measurable goals accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to implement supports
• Manage and document IEP meetings, progress reports, and compliance tasks
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic development
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued and respected
