Work Environment

This position is onsite, centered around home care, where you will have the opportunity to work directly in patients' homes. This setting allows for a more personalized approach to treatment, as you can assess the patient's living environment and implement strategies that fit their daily lives. Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical capabilities through comprehensive evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient's diagnostic needs and functional goals.
• Utilize advanced techniques in hands-on physical therapy, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the application of modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies to encourage active participation in their recovery process.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Work independently while also collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and home health aides, to ensure comprehensive care approaches are in place.
• Provide ongoing support and motivation to patients by tracking their goals and celebrating their progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions, which often present complex rehabilitation needs. This role will enable you to work with diverse populations, including elderly patients requiring assistance with mobility and younger patients recovering from sports-related injuries. The ability to adapt treatment modalities to the unique preferences and circumstances of each individual will be crucial to your success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to create and follow through on effective treatment plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care environments.
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and home exercise programs.
• Background in treating a variety of patient outcomes ranging from post-operative care to chronic pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan options.
