Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to trauma alerts and assess patients' conditions to identify the level of care necessary based on urgency.

• Stabilize critically injured patients and provide immediate procedural interventions to prevent further damage and deterioration.

• Assist in resuscitation efforts and deliver life-saving treatments during emergencies, collaborating effectively with the trauma team.

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests to formulate accurate medical evaluations.

• Administer prescribed medications as well as initiate treatments as directed by supervising physicians.

• Participate in invasive procedures and manage wound care protocols under the guidance of experienced clinicians.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma care, recovery processes, and preventive care strategies.

• Facilitate the safe transfer of trauma patients to appropriate hospital units or specialized facilities as needed.

• Monitor pain levels and provide pain management interventions, ensuring patient comfort throughout their care journey.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care continuity and foster a patient-centric environment.

• Endorse infection control protocols and adhere to safety regulations to maintain a safe treatment environment for staff and patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant in our surgical center, you will primarily focus on critically injured patients who require immediate care due to traumatic incidents. This may include individuals with severe injuries from car accidents, falls, or other emergencies requiring swift intervention. Your expertise and direct involvement will significantly affect the quality of care and recovery outcomes for these patients and their families.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare field, followed by graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas, ensuring compliance with all legal and medical standards.

• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in emergency medicine or trauma care, showcasing your capacity to manage critical situations.

• Familiarity with trauma assessment protocols and stabilization techniques is highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, we provide comprehensive benefits that include:
