Direct and coordinate the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone. Ensure that all associates are adhering to all hotel policies, standards, procedures, and regulations. Perform all front office functions and have total responsibility for hiring, training and development of all front office associates. May be responsible for the breakfast area at some locations. Assist the general manager in all areas to ensure smooth operations. Ensure that front desk operations are conducted in a professional manner at all times. Maintain the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of all front office and pantry areas, ensuring that procedures and policies are followed and initiating additional tasks to improve guest satisfaction. Conduct audits and controls on a regular basis, communicate with accounting in case of any irregularities, and coach and counsel associates as appropriate. Follow bank‑out procedures and cash handling procedures strictly. Deal with any guest requests and problems and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines. Identify, recognize, pre‑block, and provide special treatment for VIP and repeat guests, and be familiar with their special requests. Determine weekly schedule, adjusting according to business demands. Be familiar with cultural differences and know correct behavior for each culture, as well as the different protocols and etiquette. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of hotel front‑desk supervisory experience.
