Work Environment\n

This position will primarily be remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance, although occasional in-office presence may be required for team meetings or trainings at our outpatient facility. Our therapists enjoy a structured yet adaptable schedule, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Be prepared for some evening hours on a rotating shift basis, accommodating client needs as necessary.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders, and determining appropriate interventions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on the development of essential coping skills, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention strategies tailored to client needs.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients throughout their recovery journey.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on the connections between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in case conferences, staff meetings, and specialized training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use challenges. Our clients may face a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, often compounded by substance use. Your expertise will be instrumental in breaking the stigma around these conditions and supporting clients in achieving sustainable recovery through comprehensive, person-centered care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches specifically designed for co-occurring disorders.

• A strong grasp of the relationships between mental health and substance use disorders, fostering a holistic treatment approach.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven experience effectively collaborating within an interdisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of direct experience providing mental health counseling, particularly with co-occurring disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 100,000 annually, along with a lucrative sign-on bonus.
