Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' physical conditions to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement and monitor targeted therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring mobility, alleviating pain, and building strength through evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care approaches for residents.
• Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment plans based on real-time feedback and recovery metrics.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding exercises, home health strategies, and lifestyle modifications that contribute to long-term wellness and recovery.
• Ensure documentation of patient assessments, treatment outcomes, and care updates is thorough and compliant with all relevant state and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with elderly residents in a skilled nursing environment who may be undergoing recovery from surgeries, strokes, fractures, or other mobility impairments. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
• A valid and unrestricted Physical Therapy License in the state of Virginia.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills, with an understanding of a variety of rehabilitation techniques and methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings.

Compensation and Benefits
