Position Overview

The Athletics Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at a leading Skilled Nursing Facility located in the vibrant city of Fairfax, Virginia. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, with a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation facility, you will work onsite, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including range of motion, strength, and balance assessments, to devise tailored care plans.
• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing physical strength through both manual techniques and exercise regimens.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, making adjustments to treatment plans based on real-time feedback and patient outcomes.
• Track and monitor patient progress diligently, documenting all findings and updates accurately in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families, equipping them with techniques for home exercises and insights into long-term wellness strategies.
• Ensure optimal patient care through active involvement in case discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to enhance treatment plan efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including geriatric residents recovering from surgeries, strokes, or other debilitating conditions, as well as individuals undergoing rehabilitation after severe injuries. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are highly preferred.
• An active and unrestricted Virginia Physical Therapy License is mandatory for this position.
• Demonstrated clinical reasoning abilities, with exceptional communication and teamwork skills to enhance collaboration and deliver quality care.

Preferred Experience
