Work Environment

This role is designed to be performed remotely, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured support system for clients in school settings. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which aligns well with standard school hours. Key Responsibilities

• Act as a vital liaison between students, families, and outpatient providers to ensure coordinated care and effective communication.
• Engage with insurance companies to handle pre-certification processes and manage utilization reviews with pertinent efficiency.
• Contribute to discharge and aftercare planning, ensuring each client has a thorough and supportive transition plan.
• Deliver therapeutic meal support sessions, aiding clients in developing a healthy relationship with food through guided discussions and interventions.
• Provide compassionate and affirming care tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, recognizing and respecting their diverse identities and experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will primarily work with students and their families, addressing emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. Our client population includes individuals from various backgrounds and experiences, including those facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these clients navigate their mental health journeys positively.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of California.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly with school-aged children and their families.
• Proven clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to assess and formulate treatment plans effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a remote work setting.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have direct experience working in educational environments or with the school-aged population. Familiarity with systems of support in schools, such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans, is highly valued. Additionally, experience with care coordination and community resources will further strengthen your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, Fresh Start Counseling Center provides a comprehensive benefits package, including:
