Work Environment

As a Remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will practice from the comfort of your home, providing therapy and support to students in public and private schools in Chesapeake, Virginia. This flexible setting allows you to manage your schedule efficiently while ensuring patients receive timely and effective care. You will utilize various telehealth platforms to connect with students, allowing for real-time communication and engagement while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' mental health status, identifying emotional, behavioral, and social challenges impacting their academic performance.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to individual needs, addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel, ensuring they are culturally competent and sensitive to the unique backgrounds of each student.
• Collaborate closely with educators and other healthcare providers to coordinate interventions and support services, fostering a comprehensive care approach.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, revising treatment plans in response to feedback from both students and other healthcare team members.
• Offer education and resources to students and their families about mental health issues and coping strategies, empowering them to make informed decisions and utilize community resources.
• Adhere to all ethical standards and legal requirements related to the practice, including informed consent, confidentiality, and patient rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of your work will primarily be on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges within the school environment. You will engage with students from diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique experiences and providing culturally responsive care that addresses their specific needs and circumstances. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.
• A minimum of two to three years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services, particularly in educational or clinical settings.
• Strong clinical skills with the capability to perform thorough mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for collaborating with students, families, educators, and healthcare professionals effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
