Saddle Mind Rehab & Wellness Center in San Francisco, California, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Physical Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care in our orthopedic outpatient practice. This full-time position is instrumental in helping our patients rebuild their mobility and enhance their functional capacity after injury or surgery. We specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, serving mainly patients with private medical insurance. Our collaborative approach ensures that each patient receives personalized treatment from a team committed to excellence in health and wellness.

Work Environment

This position will be based onsite within our outpatient office, fostering a supportive team environment where collaboration among peers is encouraged. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), working collectively to offer comprehensive rehabilitation services. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you'll manage a high volume of patients while ensuring exceptional interpersonal communication and patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and establish individualized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Efficiently manage a patient caseload averaging one patient per hour while maintaining a high standard of personalized care and intervention.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise regimens, to promote healing and functional improvement.
• Employ evidence-based practice to create effective treatment protocols, ensuring reliance on the latest research and clinical guidelines.
• Encourage and motivate patients to achieve their maximum potential, fostering a proactive approach to their rehabilitation journey.
• Monitor patient progress consistently, documenting all treatments and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to facilitate holistic care for each patient.
• Communicate openly with patients about their conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes, educating them on lifestyle modifications to aid their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to provide outstanding care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will work closely with active individuals across various demographics, tailoring fitness and rehabilitation programs that meet their unique needs and support their return to optimal health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, with a spotless record and no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Proven competency in manual therapy techniques and a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and team members alike.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Strong background in developing and implementing individualized exercise programs tailored to patient capabilities.
• Experience handling a diverse patient demographic, with an ability to adapt treatment strategies to varying needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
