Escrow Assistant

Job Description As an Escrow Assistant at Old Republic Title, you will play a vital role in the seamless execution of real estate transactions, ensuring that every step is meticulously managed with precision and care. The position is office‑based, 8 am to 5 pm daily, and remote applicants will not be considered. Responsibilities Open, process, and close refinance and sale transactions under guidance of experienced professionals. Review and verify information in preliminary reports and title commitments. Clear title requirements by researching discrepancies and securing lien releases. Pull tax rolls, assemble signing documents, and schedule appointments. Upload documents to the electronic filing system and document all conversations related to each file. Prepare funding packages accurately and efficiently. Support broader company initiatives, adapt to new software tools, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes. Qualifications One year of escrow experience is strongly preferred but not required. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills with lenders, principals, realtors, co‑workers, and other department personnel. Professionalism, courtesy, and flexibility when representing Old Republic Title. Detail‑oriented with a passion for real estate.
