The Baccarat Hotel is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Previous experience working in a union environment, local 6 is required. NYC food protection certificate is required. Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs. Develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet our standards and guest expectations. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menus. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-end or luxury dining establishment. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. NYC food protection certificate is required.
