Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Turning Points Clinic, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that are critical to patient care and the overall functioning of our mental health services. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Effectively communicating with physicians and healthcare providers to report on patient progress, needs, and any emerging concerns or challenges encountered during treatment.

• Maintaining precise and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes that adhere to departmental protocols and are essential for ongoing treatment plans.

• Collaborating closely with various healthcare team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans that include discharge strategies based on thorough psychosocial assessments and established therapeutic interventions.

• Providing counseling services along with crisis intervention techniques to support patients facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Assisting clients in the discharge planning process and coordinating care by working with external services and regional providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Engaging with clients' family members or support systems to enhance understanding of treatment plans and facilitate successful reintegration into their daily lives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The caseload in this position primarily consists of outpatient individuals dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

To qualify for this pivotal role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or an equivalent credential.
