STAFF PSYCHIATRIST, CORRECTIONAL AND REHAB SERVICES (SAFETY)

Position Overview Additional/Dual Appointment – Staff Psychiatrist, CF, High Desert State Prison California Correctional Health Care Services Pay: $174.57–$179.63 per hour (New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.) Limited term position; may be extended. Work Location: High Desert State Prison, Susanville, CA (In Office) Hours: Part-time up to 40 hours per month outside regular hours. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric care and treatment for incarcerated patients. Conduct crisis intervention and medication management. Participate in treatment planning and collaborative care with other health professionals. Maintain clinical records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Eligibility & Constraints Open to staff psychiatrists currently employed with the State of California. Dual appointment must be a distinctly different role than your primary job. Not a supervisor, manager, or executive role. Time worked is not considered overtime; will be outside normal hours; dates and hours determined by hiring location. Minimum Requirements Staff Psychiatrist, Correctional and Rehab Services (Safety) per classification.
