Work Environment

This position is located in an onsite hospital setting, fostering teamwork and direct collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and support staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed physical examinations, taking comprehensive histories and assessing patient needs by reviewing medical records for patients presenting with cardiac conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood tests, EKGs, echocardiograms, and chest X-rays to diagnose and evaluate cardiovascular diseases.
• Develop and implement management plans for various cardiological conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and ischemic heart diseases.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to prescribe medications, adjusting dosages and treatment plans based on patient response and efficacy.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within electronic health records, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications necessary for disease management and prevention.
• Monitor and oversee patients' ongoing cardiovascular health, coordinating care and follow-up appointments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Advocate for preventative health strategies by promoting exercise, diet, and lifestyle changes that support heart health.
• Engage in continuous professional education and research activities to remain current with the latest advancements in cardiology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population for this role involves adults experiencing a wide range of cardiac conditions. Special emphasis will be placed on health promotion and chronic disease management in individuals with multiple comorbidities, requiring nuanced understanding and collaborative care models. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with a Master’s degree specifically in Physician Assistant studies.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is mandatory for this role.
• Current DEA registration is required to prescribe medications safely.
• Strong ethical foundations and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care aligned with healthcare regulations.
• Impressive communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• A proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting while demonstrating team-oriented attitudes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physician Assistant in a hospital or clinical cardiology setting is highly desirable.
• Diverse exposure to managing chronic disease, particularly within cardiovascular care frameworks.
• Specialization or interest in advanced cardiac life support and other cardiology-related certifications.
Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
