Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physician Assistant at Apex Pain Management, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive outpatient care, including medical assessments, diagnosing pediatric conditions, formulating treatment plans, and managing follow-up care for our young patients.
• Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to patient treatment, enhancing overall care outcomes.
• Utilizing your clinical expertise to diagnose and treat a diverse range of pediatric conditions, ensuring that all patients receive the highest standard of care.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records that document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with established protocols.
• Executing night shift duties efficiently from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, ensuring that you provide attentive and compassionate care during these hours.
• Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, available treatment options, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Adhering to all regulatory and legal standards, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations in all aspects of clinical practice.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with an active license to practice in New York.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, particularly in pediatrics, is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to document patient information accurately and clearly.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, showcasing cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
• A proactive approach to learning and implementing new healthcare practices and trends.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills and an ability to interact positively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in a pediatric or outpatient care setting will be given preference. Additionally, those who possess a Nurse Practitioner certification and have practical hands-on experience may also be considered for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time Physician Assistant position ranges from USD 110,000 to USD 160,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
