Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and administer appropriate medical diagnostic tests to determine treatment plans.
• Collaborate with case management to coordinate effective discharge planning for patients, ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and patient care across the facility.
• Act as a consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, responding adeptly to the needs of both patients and the medical staff.
• Provide detailed documentation in compliance with insurance requirements and efficiently address denials through appeals.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, including potential on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and a valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) for New York State.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with a focus on urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with team members.
• A strong commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Active DEA number is a mandatory requirement.
• While a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred, training and certifications will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits
