Work Environment

The Physician Assistant role at Brooklyn Urgent Care is primarily an onsite position within our well-equipped facility in East Rochester. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff, to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and administer appropriate medical treatments, ensuring that patients receive high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care.
• Coordinate with case management to facilitate effective discharge planning, helping patients transition smoothly after their urgent care visits.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of care and cost-effectiveness within the practice.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians, serving as a consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, in alignment with hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatments to adhere to insurance requirements, including prompt appeals of any denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties when necessary, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.

• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with team members.
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• A current DEA number is mandatory for this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community hospital setting is highly valued, as is familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
