Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in East Rochester, where you will work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant specializing in pain management, you will undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including gathering detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on managing pain effectively and enhancing patients' quality of life.
• Perform various clinical procedures and minor surgical interventions, ensuring adherence to safety standards while under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment protocols, and ways to maintain health and prevent further complications, empowering them in their healthcare journey.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes within our electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure continuity of care and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role will involve providing care to a diverse range of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their recovery and enhancing their overall well-being through compassionate care and expert guidance.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physician Assistant, ideally with a focus on pain management.
• Demonstrated clinical skills and ability to function independently within your scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and compassionate interaction with patients.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience.
