Work Environment

The ideal candidate for this Pain Management Physician Assistant position will work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, directly within a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our Pain Management department, you will:

• Conduct In-Depth Patient Assessments: Carry out thorough evaluations by reviewing medical histories, performing detailed physical examinations, and utilizing diagnostic testing to inform treatment strategies.
• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Collaborate with supervising physicians to craft and implement customized treatment regimens that may include medication management, therapeutic interventions, and lifestyle recommendations aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing the quality of life.
• Perform Medical Procedures: Under the guidance of experienced physicians, undertake appropriate procedures and minor surgical interventions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical standards.
• Educate and Empower Patients: Provide crucial education regarding conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, enabling patients to take an active role in their health management.
• Maintain Rigorous Documentation: Keep comprehensive and accurate records of patient encounters, including assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population suffering from a range of pain-related issues, from acute injuries to chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia or osteoarthritis. Your work will involve not only treating symptoms but also supporting patients in developing coping strategies and lifestyle modifications to lead healthier, more active lives.

Qualifications

• Education: A Master’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies is required.
• Licensing: Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on Pain Management, showcasing your ability to assess and treat complex pain conditions.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while adhering to the scope of practice.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in pain management settings and proficiency in performing interventional pain procedures. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that encompasses health insurance, retirement plans, and performance-based bonuses.
