Work Environment

This position is onsite at our well-equipped facility, designed to provide a supportive and collaborative environment for our medical staff. Our Pain Management Center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and tools that ensure efficiency and enhance patient care. You will enjoy a balanced work schedule, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtaining comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations to evaluate patient health conditions.
• Manage follow-up visits independently in accordance with the organization’s Incident II guidelines, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, verifying information during each appointment to ensure consistent and quality patient care.
• Analyze diagnostic test results and determine the necessity of follow-up appointments or additional treatments, communicating these recommendations to both patients and supervising physicians.
• Collaborate with supervisory physicians to develop and implement individualized medical care plans, including recommending appropriate treatment options and monitoring patient responses to interventions.
• Provide patient education and support, equipping individuals with the knowledge to understand their conditions and treatment pathways, fostering adherence and positive health behaviors.
• Uphold organizational metrics related to productivity and patient satisfaction, continually striving for excellence in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in the Pain Management Center, you will work primarily with patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, which may include musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and other complex health issues. Your role will involve addressing the unique challenges faced by these individuals, promoting effective pain management strategies that significantly contribute to their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• An active and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York State is required.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care, with well-developed clinical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Electronic Practice Management tools.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, essential for building trust and rapport with a diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically focused on pain management and conducting physical examinations.
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and make critical decisions effectively.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, for documentation and communication purposes.

Compensation and Benefits
